❑Unverified Zones - An Overview of the Purpose and Features of Unverified Zones:
•Background - This Unverified Zones feature only accesses those Signal ID and/or Physical Zone combinations which were defined with a Check in the Require Zone Test? box within the CSID Zones Form:
a.Panel Zones only identify the generic set of Signal Identifiers for a specific Communicator Format,
b.Panel Zones rarely specify Physical Zones for each Subscriber.
c.However, a Signal Identifier may be defined in the CSID Zones Form to change the default processing rules established for that Signal Identifier for that Communicator Format and its associated Panel Zones data assigned in the CSID Zone
d.A record that has Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) entered in the CSID Zones Form - with a Check in the Require Zone Test? box - indicates which Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) are to be managed using this Unverified Zones process.
e.By default, those CSID Zones with a Check in the Require Zone Test? box have an internal Test Status field - maintained by the system - which is initially set to "Null" meaning that No Test is currently expected.
f.When a CSID Zone with a Check in the Require Zone Test? box is actually Placed On Test, that internal Test Status field is set to "W" indicating it is currently Waiting for a Test Signal.
g.When the appropriate Signal (e.g., Signal Identifier and/or Physical Zone) is received from the "Waiting" CSID Zone, the internal Test Status field is set to "T" (for Tested) indicating it has received that anticipated Signal.
h.When the Testing Process is completed, the Operator may use the Zone Test Verification Report to reset all Test Status fields to "Null" meaning that No More Test Signals are expected, nor needed.
i.If a Signal Identifier and/or Physical Zone is not defined in the CSID Zones Form, or the CSID Zone does not have a Check in the Require Zone Test? box, it will not be available for use by this Unverified Zones feature.
j.The CSID Zones Form has a Require Zone Test? Check Box field which identifies which specific Zones will be tracked by the Zone Test Verification Report and the Unverified Zones Form.
i.This feature will not be available unless the VerifyZones option is set to True ("T") in the Company Settings dialog available in the Company tab of the User Options Form.
ii.If the VerifyZones option in the Company Settings dialog is set to False ("F") - regardless of whether or not any Require Zone Test? box is Checked on any CSID Zones Form - neither the Unverified Zones dialog, nor the related Zone Test Verification Report, will be available.
k.The Unverified Alarms tab in the Subscriber Panels section of the Edit View - Monitoring tab opens the Unverified Zones dialog for the currently selected CSID which which may then be used to:
Monitoring tab - Subscriber Panels section - CSID selected - Unverified Zones tab
i.This Unverified Zones tab may be used to identify which of those CSID Zones are not expected (do not need) to transmit a Test Signal during the current Testing Process, and to remove those from the list.
ii.To do so, remove the Check mark from each record in the Unverified Zones tab which should have its Test Status set to Null (meaning that each should not be "Waiting" for a Test Signal).
iii. This capability is provided so that the User may eliminate those CSID Zones which are not required to be Tested (i.e., they do not need to be placed into a Waiting - "W" - Test Status) and therefore make monitoring of those that do need to be Tested, easier.
iv.If changes are made (Check marks are added or removed from the Wailing column), Click Save to record those changes or Click Undo it cancel them.
l.The Zone Test Verification Report allows you to view a selectable list of those Accounts which have been Placed On Test,
i.The Zone Test Verification Report displays the current Test Status of each of these Accounts.
ii.All Zones that are displayed may be Reset to a Waiting ("W") Test Status, if needed.
❖ To Access the Unverified Zones dialog within MKMSCS:
a)From the Sub Info (F2) Form within MKMSCS by Selecting the Unverified Zones option on the Miscellaneous Menu where this maintenance may be performed on any CSID defined for the selected Subscriber.
i.When accessed from the Sub Info (F2) Form, for the Operator to make changes, they must be designated as a Central Station Supervisor on the Security tab of the Employee form.
ii.For those Subscribers with multiple CSIDs defined, the User may view the appropriate Unverified Zones as follows:
iii.First, Select the appropriate CSID from those listed.
iv.Then, Click the Unverified Zones option
v.Only the Unverified Zones for the Selected CSID will be displayed.
b)From the F5 On Test dialog within MKMSCS by Selecting a Subscriber Panel CSID (or a Subscriber), and then Clicking the Unverified Zones option.
❖For Web Tech Service Users: See the Web Tech On Test Panels and Zone Testing chapter for additional information.
❑Accessing the Unverified Zones Form .
•From within MKMS:
a)From the Backstage Menu System Select Maintenance and Choose the Monitoring option, then select the Unverified Zones option, or
b)From the Quick Access Menu, Select Maintenance and Choose the Monitoring option, then select the Unverified Zones
•From within MKMSCS:
a)Open the Sub Info (F2) FormSub Info (F2) Form
b)Use the Search option to locate the appropriate Subscriber
c)On the Miscellaneous Menu within the Sub Info (F2) Form, select the Unverified Zones option
❑Understanding the Unverified Zones feature:
•The Unverified Zones Form is a maintenance Form which is used to:
✓Check the status of, and/or
✓Cancel all Test Status codes for a selected CSID, and/or
✓To selectively remove specific CSID Zones from the list of those Waiting ("W") for a Test.
Unverified Zones Form
•When a Technician or a Subscriber requests that an Operator Place an Account on Test, internally the system sets the Test Status field to Waiting ("W") for all CSID Zones (or for a specifically identified Signal ID and/or Physical Zone) defined for the selected CSID(s) as long as each has a Check in the Require Zone Test? box on the CSID Zones Form.
✓This Waiting ("W") status indicates that the system is Waiting to receive signal(s) from those CSID Zone(s) - or selected Signal ID and/or Physical Zone - while a Technician (or Subscriber) is testing an Alarm System.
✓While in the Waiting Test Status, when the Signal ID and/or Physical Zone (specifically identified within the CSID Zones Form with a Check in the Require Zone Test? box) is actually tested, that Test Status code is changed from Waiting ("W") to Tested ("T").
•Select CSID - To view, and optionally to change, the Test Status of Signal Identifiers and Physical Zones which have previously been Placed On Test:
✓Click the Ellipse button (see the mouse pointer in the illustration above).
•CSID Search - This will open the CSID Search dialog where you may Choose the appropriate CSID.
CSID Search dialog
✓Search By - Using the Drop-Down Selection List provided, Choose the desired field on which to search (either CSID or Name).
✓Search Value - Based on the Search By field selected, enter the desired CSID or Name.
▪When the desired CSID is located, Click on that CSID.
✓Click the OK ü button to insert the selected CSID into the Select CSID field.
•Unverified Zones List - When the CSID is selected, those Zones that have been Placed On Test will be displayed in the Unverified Zones list.
✓This Unverified Zones Form is used to identify which of those Zones are not expected (do not need) to transmit a Test Signal during the current Testing Process, and to remove those from the list.
▪To do so, remove the Check mark from each record in the Unverified Zones List which should have its Test Status set to Null (meaning that each should not be "Waiting" for a Test Signal).
▪This capability is provided so that the User may eliminate those CSID Zones which are not required to be Tested (i.e., they do not need to be placed into a Waiting - "W" - Test Status) and therefore make monitoring of this list for those that do need to be Tested, to be easier.
✓Check/Uncheck All - By default, all of the Waiting field's Check Boxes will have a Check Mark inserted.
▪To remove all of the Checks in the Waiting column, Check this box.
▪To Check all of the boxes in the Waiting column, Check this box.
✓Save - Click the Save button to apply these changes.
❖The Unverified Zones list is also available in the Panel Tests Form
✓Select the CSID that has Unverified Zones which need to be reviewed
✓Click the Unverified Zones option on the Ribbon Menu
✓The Unverified Zones Form will be displayed.

❑Understanding the Zone Test Verification Report:
•The Zone Test Verification Report provides an up to the minute listing of the Test Status of the Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) that had been Placed On Test by an Operator.
✓This report may list the Test Status of those Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) that were Placed On Test for:
▪All Subscribers.
▪All of the Subscribers being monitored for one specified Dealer.
▪A selected Subscriber with either one, or multiple CSIDs defined in the Subscriber Panel(s) section of the Central Station Data Form.
•Use the Zone Test Verification Report to view the current Test Status of each of the selected Subscribers' Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) that were Placed On Test.
✓Once the correct list of Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) and their associated Test Status has been set using the Unverified Zones Form, and subsequently as certain Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) are successfully Tested, the Zone Test Verification Report will show those that are still Waiting for a Signal, and those that have successfully been Tested.
Zone Test Verification Report - Preview tab
•Reset Accounts? - Upon exiting the Zone Test Verification Report, a Reset Accounts? message will be displayed.
Reset Accounts?
✓If the designated Signal Identifier(s) and/or Physical Zone(s) for all CSID Zones, whether or not successfully Tested, are to have their Test Status reset to Null, Answer Yes, otherwise answer No.
▪Answering Yes would indicate that no more Test Signals are expected from these Account(s) during this On Test session, so all Waiting Accounts should be removed from the report by resetting their Test Status to Null.
▪Answering No, Closes the report with no data changes made, thereby preserving the Waiting Accounts list for future reference.
❖If there are any Accounts with a Test Status of Waiting ("W") remaining when the On Test process is completed, a SPA generated Signal ID of A139 will be received indicating the number of Unverified Zones that remain in a Waiting ("W") Test Status.
▪This special Signal ID must be predefined as one of SPA's Signal Processing Error messages.
▪Signal ID = A139 Alarm Code = System Messages OCTAR = Alarm Description = Number of Unverified Zones
