Receipt Posting

This Help File Page was last Modified on 06/06/2020

Receipts may be recorded using the Receipts Form one-at-a-time process accessed from the Subscribers Form's Ribbon Menu.

The Receipts Form is designed for "one-Receipt-from-one-Subscriber-at-a-time" posting process.

However, the Receipts Posting dialog offers

Two ways to identify the source of the Receipt (by Invoice to be Paid or by Subscriber),

Posts it to the Subscriber's account, and

Allocates it to the appropriate Invoice(s) - all in one step!

Receipts should be posted daily!

There is no sense in "holding checks until we have enough to record".

From a security standpoint, Subscriber's payments should be recorded on the day they are received.

Use either the "one at a time" posting method with the Subscribers Form's Receipts selection, or, for rapidly entering multiple Receipts, use this Receipt Posting process.

The advantage of the Receipts Posting process is that the Invoices are automatically Allocated as the Receipts are posted.

There are several ways to Access this Receipt Posting Form:

a)From the Backstage Menu System Select Maintenance and Choose Receivables then Click the Receipt Posting option, or

b)From the Quick Access Menu, Select Maintenance and Choose Receivables then Click the Receipt Posting option, or

c)Click the Post Receipts Icon on the Receivables Tab on the MKMS Desktop.
