The sequence (order) in which the People To Call should be contacted, while performing a Notification step for an Alarm Signal, is very important.

The various Alarm Conditions being monitored for a Subscriber may each necessitate a different set of individuals (or companies) be notified in a unique order, based on the Alarm Condition that was reported.

As an Alarm Signal is being handled by an Operator, the active Calling Order - the one to be used for the Notification step - is derived from one of these six sources:

1.The original order in which the People To Call were entered.

2.The revised order for People To Call that was re-set using the Call Order Form.

3.The special Calling Order established in a CSID Zone record which has access to the Global Call List Contacts.

4.The special Calling Order established in a CSID Zone Override record which also has access to the Global Call List Contacts.

5.The special Calling Order established in the CSID Zone Default Call List ("CALL DEF") in that CSID Zone record which also has access to the Global Call List Contacts (explained in this chapter).

6.The Conditions Call List which identifies a specified set and Calling Order of People To Call based on the identified Alarm Condition Code.

The CSID Zone Default Call List provides an alternative to the default order of the People To Call List, or the re-set Call Order list of the People To Call defined for each Subscriber.

There are many situations that require the Calling Order - in which people should be contacted - to vary considerably based on certain conditions:

MKMSCS determines the proper Notification order based on the following three situations, and the Call Order data that is available:

1.The Alarm Signal was validated by SPA by using a Signal ID (and optionally a Physical Zone) that is defined in the Panel Zones table of the Communicator Format used by this Subscriber (as assigned in the Subscriber Panels section):

a.There is no place to define a Call List in the Panel Zone table, but there is a CSID Zone Default Call List (CALL DEF) record in the CSID Zones table for this Subscriber, so that specially defined Call Order will be the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

b.There is no place to define Call List information in the Panel Zone table, but there is a Call Order established for the Subscriber, that will determine the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

2.The Alarm Signal was validated by SPA by using a Signal ID (and optionally a Physical Zone) that is defined in the CSID Zones table for the CSID that was received:

a.If the CSID Zone record has its own specific Calling Order entered for this specific Alarm Signal, that specially defined Call Order will be the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

b.If there is no Call Order defined in the CSID Zone record, but there is a CSID Zone Default Call List (CALL DEF) record in the CSID Zones table for this Subscriber, that specially defined CALL DEF record's Calling Order will be the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

c.If there is no Calling Order defined in the CSID Zone record and no CSID Default Call List record, but there is a Call Order established for the Subscriber, so that will determine the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

3.The Alarm Signal was validated by SPA by using a Signal ID (and optionally a Physical Zone) that is defined in the CSID Zone Overrides table for the CSID that was received:

a.The CSID Zone Override record has its own specific Calling Order entered for this specific Alarm Signal, so that specially defined Call Order will be the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

b.If there is no Calling Order defined in the CSID Zone Override record, but there is a CSID Zone Default Call List (CALL DEF) record in the CSID Zones table for this Subscriber, that specially defined CALL DEF record's Calling Order will be the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

c.If there is no Calling Order defined in the CSID Zone Override record and no CSID Zone Default Call List record, but there is a Call Order established for the Subscriber, that will determine the order in which the Subscriber's list of People To Call should be contacted.

Entering the CSID Zone Default Call List (CALL DEF) record:

When the Call Order serves the needs of most Zones, but needs to be revised for another group of Zones, a secondary Call Order list may be established using a special CSID Zone entry.

This entry is called the CSID Zone Default Call List record and allows a secondary, but universally available Call Order to be established for each Subscriber.

Once this record is created, using the information above which defines exactly how Call Orders are determined, you can easily have designated CSID Zones and/or CSID Zone Override records default to this CSID Zone Default Call List order.

To enter the CSID Zone Default Call List record for a Subscriber:
