Failed to Test Report

This Help File Page was issued on 09/30/2017

It is important, for the well being of your Subscribers, to have a reasonable assurance that their system is able to communicate properly with your Company's Central Station.

By identifying the Account Testing requirements for each Subscriber, and periodically printing this Failed To Test Report, you will be much more confident that the Subscriber's Control Panel will be able to communicate with the Central Station when it needs to do so.

How can there be assurance that Accounts can communicate properly:

Supervise the Account:

Assuming that the Subscriber is being Supervised for Opening and Closing, those Opening and Closing Signals validate that their system is able to communicate.

If the Subscriber's Control Panel is generating periodic Test Signals, those Signals will periodically validate that their system is able to communicate.

For Unsupervised Accounts - on the Account Testing Form:

Test Frequency - Define the appropriate Test Frequency information.

Test Options - Check the Generate Alarms box.

Then consider what is appropriate for the selected Subscriber:

oIf the Auto Reset option in the Account Testing Form is Checked, then the system will periodically remind the Operator - based on the Test Frequency identified in the Account Testing Form - that a Failed To Test condition exists.

oHowever, this Failed To Test Report is used for those Accounts which are not set up (in the Subscriber's Account Testing Form) to Auto Reset after a Failed To Test Signal was generated by SPA, and so the Operator would not be reminded again once the initial Failed To Test Signal was generated.

oInstead, this Failed To Test Report will provide that information.
